Coffee for companies and hospitality: choosing the right supplier

Good coffee at the office is a small sign of appreciation, and in a restaurant, bar or hotel it is often the last impression guests take home. Buying coffee for a business therefore takes more than any pack off the shelf: consistent quality, the right quantity at the right price and a supplier you can reach. Here is what matters.

Whole beans instead of capsules

Capsules are convenient but expensive per cup and create a lot of waste. A bean-to-cup or portafilter machine with whole beans gives you freshly ground espresso at a much lower cost per cup. One kilogram of beans makes around 120 to 140 espressos.

For a company with a bean-to-cup machine in the break room and for venues with a portafilter machine, 1 kg packs of whole espresso beans are the most economical choice.

Which blend for office, bar and restaurant?

At the office, many people drink coffee with milk. A balanced blend such as Dersut Optimum Rosso, with cocoa notes and a long-lasting crema, is ideal. For a bolder cup, choose Dersut Domus Marrone with intensity 5 of 5.

In bars, restaurants and hotels, the pure espresso counts. Here the gold-medal blends Dersut Plus Oro and Dersut Non Plus Ultra (100 % Arabica), both awarded at the International Coffee Tasting 2025, stand out.

How much coffee does a company need?

As a rule of thumb, one person drinks two to three cups per working day. A team of ten therefore needs about three to four kilograms of beans per month. In hospitality it depends on your guests: a small bar quickly reaches ten kilograms or more per week.

  • Up to 10 people: around 3 to 4 kg per month
  • 10 to 30 people: around 4 to 12 kg per month
  • Café, bar or restaurant: based on guest numbers, we are happy to work it out with you

  • Consistent quality from a renowned roastery
